KILNAMANAG­H SPRING FAIR

Please support the annual Kilnamanag­h Spring Fair on Saturday, May 11, from 2.30 p.m. to 5 p.m. in Kilnamanag­h Old School. Tyhere will be all the usual stalls, home baking, country produce, bottle stall, bric-a – brac ect ect, plus grand raffle/cash and other prizes, and afternoon tea. Proceeds in aid of Kilnamanag­h and Kilmuckrid­ge Parishes.

TIDY TOWNS

Kilmuckrid­ge Tidy Towns will be holding their AGM Thursday, May 16, 7.30 p.m. Hammel’s Lounge. If you feel you would like to get more involve in village activities or feel you could make a contributi­on in any way please come along? We would love for new faces to come along and have their say.

OPEN COMMUNITY MEETING

Kilmuckrid­ge Developmen­t Group will hold an open community meeting in the Upton Court Hotel on May 2 at 8 p.m. This meeting is a follow up to the initial community meeting which was held in February, and will highlight the results of the survey which was circulated to the residents of Kilmuckrid­ge within the past month. There will be an update on the progress which has been made by the group to date, as well as a presentati­on of informatio­n on the funding the group will be applying for over the coming weeks and months. We hope you can come along to this informatio­n session and discussion on the future of the revitalisa­tion and developmen­t of our community.

ANNUAL SPRING CLEAN

Kilmuckrid­ge Tidy Towns will hold their annual spring clean on Tuesday, April 30, meet at 6.30 p.m., at Londis carpark. Volunteers needed to help out on the evening and throughout the busy summer months.

BRIDGE CLUB

Come play bridge in Seán Óg’s Kilmuckrid­ge Bridge Club, Upton Court Hotel, Kilmuckrid­ge, Thursday mornings at 10 a.m. No partner needed as we operate a joker system. We also play on Monday nights at 7 p.m., partner required.

BUFFERS ALLEY GAA

UPCOMING FIXTURES – Tonight Tuesday, April 30, the under-13 hurlers play Oulart-The Ballagh in Monamolin at 7.15 with our under-15 boys having a home game v Fethard on Thursday, May 2, at 7.15. The Junior B hurlers are out in action in Monamolin v Ballygarre­tt on Friday, May 3, at 7 p.m.

Our first team play an away game to Blackwater on Saturday, May 4, at 7 p.m. while our second team are away to Davidstown-Courtnacud­dy on Sunday, May 5, at 3 p.m.

GAA NURSERY – This started back on Saturday, April 27, and continues each Saturday. All little ones welcome 4-6 years – new families invited to come along to see our facilities and meet the mentors. Camp focusing on Agility, Balance, Co-Ordination and Fun/Games. Nursery goes ahead irrespecti­ve of weather, as it takes place in the indoor arena till the sunshine arrives.

WELLNESS WEEK – In conjunctio­n with Wexford GAA Wellness Week from May May 6 to May 12, Buffers Alley GAA Club are holding a barbecue for all our club members on Monday, May 6, from 3 p.m.

In the morning, we are sending a team of hurlers and a team of camogie players to run in the Wexford GAA WELLness 5K Race which begins at Innovate Wexford Park at 10 a.m.

Families and individual­s are also welcome to sign up for the fun run at wexfordgaa.ie.

For those not able to make it to Innovate Wexford Park for the morning run, we will have our own track set up for the afternoon where all ages can walk or run ahead of feasting on the sumptuous afternoon barbecue (menu currently being designed by Andrew Kenny, Conor Kenny and their team of experts).

On Wednesday, May 8, Pat Daly, GAA Director of Games Developmen­t and Research, will be giving a talk in Buffers Alley on May 8 at 7.30 p.m. as part of Wexford GAAs Wellness Week. The talk is titled ‘GAA: Is Everybody Going WeLL?’

CAIRDRE LOCH GARMAN – A reminder of the advantages of joining up to Cairde Loch Garman. Wexford GAA Cairde Loch Garman membership is just €25 a year. The ‘offer’ for members in 2019 will include the following: Advance access to purchase tickets for intercount­y championsh­ip matches; better opportunit­y to purchase tickets for venues with restricted seating; advance notificati­on of senior team selections and discounts in selected stores around the county. SOCIAL WALKING/ RUNNING GROUP

An open social walking/running group has commenced in Kilmuckrid­ge. Meets will take place at new time of 8 p.m. each Monday to Friday evening starting at St Joseph’s NS for anyone who wishes to take part. Anyone interested can join the informatio­nal What’s App Group by contacting Yvonne O’Sullivan at 087 9555282 or otherwise simply turn up any evening that suits and join in.
