Bunclody camogie club will be collecting again for a clothing collection at Half-Way-House/Bunclody GAA Club pitch on Tuesday, October 29, from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Wednesday, October 30, from 9.30 a.m. to 10.30 a.m. and from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.

BUNCLODY VOCATIONAL COLLEGE

A 5K walk in aid of the Autism Unit in Bunclody Vocational College will take place on Friday, October 25, This will commence at the school at 1.30 p.m., taking the Hospital Hill route, returning to the school where refreshmen­ts will be served. Sponsorshi­p cards will be issued through the school and are also available from the school.

A used clothes collection takes place in the school on Monday, November 25, A great way to de-clutter.

Those donating five or more bags will be entered into a draw to win a €100 voucher for the Ferrycarri­g Hotel, Wexford.

Chroma, is an exciting group of artists, formed in 2018 in Carlow. They had an inaugural exhibition at the Carlow Fringe Arts Festival 2018 in the GB Shaw Room in Carlow Library. Their works span both traditiona­l and contempora­ry approaches and include figurative and semi-abstract landscapes, seascapes and portraitur­e. They will be displaying pieces in Bunclody Library throughout October 2019.

THE MONDAY CLUB

The Monday Club meets on Mondays in Bunclody Day Care Centre. The October programme is as follows. Monday the 28th is a Bank Holiday. New members are always welcome Throughout the year there will be entertainm­ent, informatio­n sharing, arts/crafts, guest speakers, bingo/ card playing.

This Club would suit 60+ age group. Entrance Fee: €4 which includes tea and a light lunch.

WEXFORD AND THE WAR OF INDEPENDEN­CE.

Wexford and the War of Independen­ce: who died, and why? a lecture with Professor Eunan O’Halpin will take place on Thursday, October 24, in the Riverside Park Hotel, Enniscorth­y at 7 p.m. The lecture will be followed by a public consultati­on on how the next phase of the National Decade of Commemorat­ions Programme should be commemorat­ed in County Wexford. This is a free event and all are welcome to attend.

DEMENTIA AWARENESS EVENING

There will be a Dementia awareness Evening in the Riverside Park Hotel, Enniscorth­y on Monday, November 4, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. The evening will be of interest to someone who may be caring for a person with dementia, or may just have an interest in knowing more about dementia. Guest speakers will include Dr Eithne Harkin, Wexford General Hospital Memory Clinic and Susan Eccleston, Family Carers Ireland.
