Ferns leave it late

Division1

A 90th-minute goal from Robert Vickers earned Ferns United a share of the spoils against Glynn Barntown on Sunday.

Dave Miller fired Glynn Barntown in front just before the break, but Ferns drew level through an own goal on the hour mark.

David Clarke then put the visitors back in front, but Vickers had the final say with a late leveller.

Moyne Rangers leapfrogge­d Adamstown into third place by seeing off their rivals 2-1 with goals from Daithí O’Mahoney and Conor Heffernan, with Ian Thorpe replying.

Tombrack United earned their first win of the campaign, with James Newe and Josh McMullan hitting the back of the net in their 2-1 triumph against New Ross Town.

New Ross Celtic and St. Cormac’s drew 1-1, with the Barrowside­rs netting through an own goal and Cormac Finn scoring for the saints.

Division2

Taghmon United and Raheen shared the spoils after an action-packed Division 2 top of the table clash on Sunday.

Brian Doyle and Seamie McLoughlin (two) hit the back of the net for Taghmon, with Daire Bolger responding with two freekicks and Paudie Barden also getting in on the act.

Gorey Celtic and Gorey Rangers came away with a point apiece from their local derby after a 2-2 draw, with Caleb Byrne-Murphy and Greg O’Rourke scoring for Celtic, and Aaron Finn and Stephen Hempenstal­l replying.

The Enniscorth­y derby also finished all square, with Enniscorth­y United and Shamrock Rovers playing out a 0-0 stalemate.

St. Leonards were leading 2-0 when their match against Rosslare Port was abandoned due to a serious injury.

Division3

Enniscorth­y Town celebrated their 60th anniversar­y in style as they overcame Cushinstow­n 2-1 to go level on points with Rosslare Strand at the top of Division 3.

Town were playing their first game on their newly-developed pitch in the Showground­s, and Joe Hyland had the honour of scoring their first goal, while Kallan Murphy also hit the back of the net for the winners. Shane Brazil got the goal for Cushinstow­n.

Dylan Redmond (two), Kyle Mann and Luke Codd got the goals for Wexford Celtic as they overcame bottom side Bree United 4-1.

Division3A

Fethard Rangers closed to within a point of leaders All Blacks on Sunday with a 4-0 win over Courtown Hibs.

Fethard took control of the game early on, with a Darren Foley strike and a Jean-Luc Tubritt brace giving them a 3-0 lead at the interval. Substitute

Jimmy Sutton wrapped up the win with a fourth in the second-half.

Crossabeg AFC also chalked up a 4-0 victory, with Alex Wilson helping himself to a hat-trick and Joe Wilson getting their other goal.

Rathnure and Rosbercon shared the spoils after a 2-2 draw, with Owen Lennon and A.J. Redmond scoring for the former, and Barry Ryan and Jamie St. Ledger replying.

Division4

Table-toppers Rosslare Rangers picked up another three points with a 3-1 away win over St. Joseph’s on Sunday, with Danny Ennis, Cian Meyler and Fintan Wickham getting their goals.

Kiltealy Celtic made it six wins from six as they overcame Bridge Rovers 4-1 in Castlebrid­ge.

Mick Stephens (two), Steven Watchorn and Davy Cogley scored for the winners, with Jody Hynes replying.

Conor Neville, Jon Reville and Stephen Diskin got the goals as Corach Ramblers got another three points on the board, winning 3-0 away to Carne, while a Paddy Roche goal was enough for Ferns United to see off Caim 1-0.

Division4A

Wexford Bohs made it five wins from five on Sunday and fittingly they scored five goals without reply against St. Cormac’s.

Beau Brennan (two), Graham Kelly, Michael Browne and Daniel Mullins all hit the back of the net.

James Walsh bagged a double for Campile United, but it wasn’t enough to earn his side anything from the game as Darren Walsh (two) and Tommy O’Brien replied for Enniscorth­y United to earn them a 3-2 win.

Shane Ryan and Eoin Codd got the goals for St. Leonards in their 2-1 win over The Ballagh United, while Mark Redmond scored for Shamrock Rovers as they drew 1-1 with Killenagh Wanderers.

Tommy McVeigh scored the goal for Enniscorth­y Town in their 4-1 defeat to Castledock­rell.

Division5

Mark Sinnott bagged a hattrick for All Blacks in their 6-1 away win over New Ross Town on Sunday.

Cody Gaddren (two) and Quinn Saunders also got in on the act, with Willie Banville replying.

Tommy Smilie, Jordan Molloy and Jack Wilde got the goals for Glynn Barntown as they beat Camolin Celtic 3-0, while Wexford Celtic saw off Tombrack United by the same scoreline, with Alex Innes, Aaron Kinsella and Davie Kehoe scoring.

Rory Foran hit the back of the net for Adamstown in their 1-1 draw with Fastnet Rovers, while Shelburne earned a 2-2 draw against league leaders Enniscorth­y United.

Adam Casey and Tyler O’Connor scored for the table-toppers, with Seán Moran and Jamie O’Rourke replying.
