First organic jam range launched

-

WEXFORD Home Preserves, the makers of award-winning artisan jams, marmalades, savoury and speciality preserves are the first jam making company in Ireland to release an organic range.

Owners Tom and Laura Sinnott sourced the finest organic berries and oranges and refined their traditional family recipes to create a core range of organic jams and marmalades.

This will be the first nationally distributed organic range from an Irish maker.

The range includes: Organic Blackberry and Apple Jam, Organic Raspberry Jam, Organic Strawberry Jam, Organic Sicilian Lemon Marmalade and Organic Sicilian Orange Marmalade.

Ms Sinnott said: ‘We always want to make the very best, whatever we are making. On one of our sourcing trips to Sicily we found the most amazing organic citrus farm where trees grow in the fertile soil of a dry lake bed. The fruit is beautiful. We already know from our research that organic is gaining in popularity and the demand is increasing fast.’

Ms Sinnott said the idea of being able to bring the fabulous fruit home, do it justice by hand making their special recipe marmalades from it, was just too good to resist. And so our new Organic range was inspired!’ a

Tom Sinnott said: ‘We are totally committed to making our jams and preserves by hand using all natural ingredients: organic is the next logical step. We are very excited about this new product range and hope that our customers will love it!’

The range is fully certified by the Organic Trust and is available from good food retailers.
