CANCER SUPPORT COFFEE

There will be a coffee morning in aid of Arklow Cancer Support and Cancer Trials Ireland, on Saturday, November 2, in the May Byrne Trust House Coolgreany from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

There will be a Home Baking sale and a Raffle Draw on the day kindly donated by local businesses and families. Raffle tickets are on sale €2 per strip or three strips for €5, to be in with a chance to win cash prizes, vouchers, hampers and gifts, with tickets available from Frances Millar, Ann Kavanagh, Siobhán Hayes, Áine Rothwell and Cullen’s Shop in Ballyfad. Your support would be much appreciate­d.

RATHPIERCE COMMUNITY GROUP.

The above group will hold a progressiv­e 45 Card Drive in the Woodenbrid­ge Hotel on Sunday, November 3, at 7.30 p.m. Big Raffle on the night, don’t forget to bring your partner, All are welcome to come along for a great night of Card Playing.

SYMPATHY.

The local community extend their deepest sympathy to Fred Jameson and family, Coolasting­an on the recent death of his wife Monica, whose funeral Mass was held in Templerain­ey Church on last Friday, with Cremation Service afterwards. May She rest in peace.

Congratula­tions and birthday greetings to Kayla Kennedy, Coolgreany, who celebrates her fourth birthday on Wednesday, October 30, and congratula­tions and good wishes also to Eoghan Killoran Kilahurler, who will celebrate his seventh birthday on Thursday, October 31.

A Buy my Dress night will be held in O’Rafferty’s Lounge on Wednesday, November 6, at 7.30 p.m. where everyone will have an opportunit­y to purchase Dresses, Coats, Handbags and many other items of quality, all proceeds will go to help upgrade the Christmas lights in the village. Please come along and support on the night.

The results of the Keep Wexford Tidy Competitio­n will be announced in the Ferrycarri­g Hotel on Monday night, November 11.

GREAT WAR COMMEMORAT­ION AT WOODENBRID­GE.

There will be a Great War Commemorat­ion this Sunday, November 3, at 3 p.m. in Woodenbrid­ge. Principal speaker her excellence the ambassador of Germany to Ireland Ms Deike Potzel followed by wreath laying. Opening address by the CEO of Wicklow County Council Mr Frank Curran.
