DRAMA FESTIVAL 2019

Coolgreany Drama will be holding its sixth annual One-act Comedy and Drama Festival in St Mogue’s Hall, Inch from Thursday to Saturday, November 21, to 23.

This Drama League of Ireland-affiliated festival is a highly sought-after competition for drama groups competing for points for a place in the all-Ireland One Act Drama Finals in Rossmore, Co Cork in December.

It is also a great showcase for all that is best in Irish community theatre, with a top class line up of nine productions from groups from Co Wexford and from all over the country.

Most of all, the festival provides a great feast of entertainment and great value for local audiences, with three productions presented each night and the awards presented on the Saturday night.

Coolgreany Drama is delighted to welcome Donal Courtney as it festival adjudicator this year. Donal is a well known and highly respected actor, writer and director who has adjucitated at drama festivals throughout Ireland since 2012.

According to Festival Director Richard Lister, Coolgreany Drama will provide a warm welcome to the visiting drama groups. ‘I hope our audiences will enjoy excellent theatre. Since we started our festival six years ago, it has become one of the ‘go-to’ festivals for both competing groups on the circuit and for appreciative audiences. I’d like to thank the Coolgreany Drama Committee, our Festival Committee and all the members who who are working tirelessly to bring the festival to fruition.’.
