FAI CUP VICTORY

Congratula­tions to Nicola Sinnott, The Ballagh, who was a star defender on the Wexford Youths team in the FAI Women’s Senior Cup final that was played in the Aviva Stadium on Sunday, November 3.

The Wexford team defeated Peamount by three goals to two to win the Cup Final for the third time in five years.

GAA SCÓR NA NÓG

GAA, camogie, Rounders and handball members with an interest in song, dance, variety, music etc are invited to represent their club and enter the Scór Talent Competitio­ns. The New Ross/Wexford semi-final of Scór na nÓg will take place in Rathangan Hall on November 15, beginning at 7.30 p.m. The Enniscorth­y/Gorey semi-final will be held in Oulart Community Centre on the following night, Saturday, November 16, starting at 7 p.m. The county final, featuring the qualifiers from the semi-finals will take place in Oulart on Friday, November 22. The Scór na nÓg table quiz will be held in St, Martin’s GAA Complex on Thursday, November 28.

CHANGE OF DATE

Oulart-The Ballagh GAA Club’s annual general meeting that was fixed for Friday, November 29, will have to be re-arranged on account of a clash with the Dáil By-Election Vote that takes place on the same date, at the same venue. A new date for the AGM will be included in next week’s Notes. A new date for the annual End of Year Meeting for underage will also be announced.

UNDER-14 HURLING

The boys are progressin­g well in the Martin Storey Tournament with recent victories over Oylegate-Glenbrien and St Anne’s. They have two more group games to play, against St Martin’s and Buffers Alley. Best of luck to the panel, their manager Philip Rossiter and selectors Alan O’Connor and Dean O’Connor.

CAMOGIE FUNDRAISER

Oulart-The Ballagh camogie club are hosting a fundraiser ‘Look Good-Feel Good’ on Sunday, November 24, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the Riverside Hotel. There will be various demonstrat­ions throughout the afternoon including Floral Arranging, Kinesiolog­y, Make-Up, Grooming and a Fashion Show. There will also be numerous stands of crafts and Artisan foods, Style Items, Gift Ideas etc around the room. Tickets at €10 are available from players and committee.

CRAFT FAIR

Oulart Community Centre will host a Craft Fair on Sunday, December 1, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. If you would like to book a stall or if you require further informatio­n please contact Theresa at 086 8227077.

CLUB LOTTO

The lotto draw takes place every two weeks. The prize fund is now €14,600. The winning numbers at the last draw were 5, 12, 13 and 28 and the bonus 17. €30 lucky-dip winners were Stacey Kehoe, Gary Philips, Michael, Cathal and Padraic Whelan c/o Stephen Hayden, Aoife and Katie Walsh, John Nolan. All money made from the lotto go towards the upkeep and maintenanc­e of the club. A big thank you to everyone who continuall­y support the lotto every two weeks.
