RADON MONITORING

Have you tested your home for radon and found that the levels are higher than they should be? Maybe you are not sure what you should do next to reduce your family’s exposure to this carcinogen.

Stephanie Long from Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Radiological Office will hold a talk in Bunclody Library on Radon during Wexford Science Festival on Thursday, November 14, at 7 p.m. This talk will explain how you can check whether the levels in your home are still high by borrowing a digital monitor from Bunclody library and what you should do next.

As part of this event, Bunclody Library are launching a new project, in collaboration with the EPA, to borrow a digital radon monitor, in the same way as you borrow a book, keep it for three weeks and then return it to the library for the next person. Bunclody and County Wexford is the first location for this in Ireland. Should you require additional supports or any library event, please contact the Librarian at 053 9375466 or email bunclodylib@wexfordcoco.ie.
