Jim Kealy concert night

A benefit concert will take place in the Riverside Park Hotel on Wednesday, November 27.

It’s being organised in support of radio broadcaster Jim Kealy, who is in need of a new prosthetic leg.

Mr Kealy (62) had his left leg amputated from below the hip when he was 15 years of age as a result of a congenital deformity from birth.

Very grateful for the support he has received from his colleagues and friends he now hopes to raise the €20,000 required for a new prosthesis.

Leading figures from the entertainment world have pledged their support to the concert which promises to be a great night out.

The line to-date is set to include Declan Nerney; Theresa and the Stars; Gerry Gutherie; Pat McKenna; the Model Banner and Olivia Douglas, with more names to be added.

The concert is the first in a series of planned fundraising ventures and tickets for the event, priced €25, are now on sale from a number of different locations, including the Irish National Heritage Park, the Riverside Park Hotel, Enniscorthy and District Chamber of Commerce office, the reception desk in St Senan’s Primary School, Templeshannon, Enniscorthy; Market House, Gorey, and St Michael’s Theatre, New Ross.
