Local outlets slash prices for day of sales
With the majority of Christmas lists now drafted, written and posted to the man himself the hunt for those perfect Christmas gifts can begin in earnest.
For some this will still mean a mad dash on December 24, a panic-stricken race through town for something, anything, resembling the present you were supposed to buy months ago.
But for everyone else there’s Black Friday, a day where shops slash their prices at just the right time, offering bargains on everything from high-end electrical goods to furniture and tiles.
And for Wexford shoppers there’s an array of unmissable deals to be had this coming Friday (November 29) and right through the weekend onto Cyber Monday - a day dedicated to offers on the latest tech goods.
Joyces Electrical in Clonard Retail Park are offering deals on televisions, tablets, smartphones and smart watches.
Some of their biggest discounts are in the Samsung Galaxy Watch range with the Samsung Galaxy Watch SM-R800NZSABTU (pictured, right) reduced from €339 to €229 and the Samsung Galaxy Watch Rose Gold/Black SM-R810NZDABTU reduced from €319 to €209.
Both of these watches can be connected to a smartphone and come equipped with a built-in speaker and microphone.
At D.I.D Electrical, also in Clonard Retail Park, some of the biggest deals are on household goods with the Samsung No Frost Freestanding American
Fridge Freezer dropping from €3,299.99 to €1,969.99.
If you’re shopping for a music lover you can pick up a pair of Sony Noise Cancelling Over-Ear Wireless Bluetooth Headphones for €99.99, down from €179.99.
Meanwhile, D.I.D are selling the Samsung RU7100 55” 4K Ultra HD Flat LED Smart TV for €499.99, down from €899.99.
At Dominic Smith Electrical, situated in Knockmullen Retail Park, Knockmullen, Gorey, the Dyson V7 Motorhead Handheld Vacuum Cleaner is reduced from €349 to €229, and the Segway Ninebot S Kickscooter is almost retailing at half-price, dropping from €529 to €299.
At Lidl the Black Friday sales last until Sunday and some of the items on offer there include a Sharp 40” UHD Smart TV for €329, a Lenovo Tablet 10” for €99.99 and a Fitbit Inspire for €54.99.
Halo Tiles and Bathrooms in Camolin are offering great deals on baths and toilets; the Trim 1800mm x 800mm Double Ended Bath will drop from €365 to
€225 and its Comfort Height Toilet, Cistern and Soft Close Seat is retailing at €299.99 down from €405.
For Colman Doyle on 120 S Main St, Whitewell, Black Friday extends right across the weekend with the store open from 1-5 p.m. on Sunday and huge discounts on all stock.
