Christmas Family Fun Day at St Patrick’s National School, Bearna Chlé, Johnstown on Sunday, December 1, from 11 a.m. On the day we will have music, home baking, handmade crafts, wreaths, barbecue delights, tea or coffee and mince pies, nail art, games and lots more. Fantastic prizes for our Christmas raffle. Everyone welcome.
90TH BIRTHDAY PARTY
On last Friday night November 15, all the members of the McDonald Family Knockgreany came together at the Taravie Hotel Courtown to celebrate the 90th birthday of their Mother Mrs Molly (Mary) McDonald Knockgreany, Coolgreany, the extended family included all her siblings, grand-children and great grand-children, and a large circle of her very close relations and friends. Molly was overwhelmed by such a large gathering and enjoyed a great night of chat and entertainment, and she definitely was a worthy recipient of all those good wishes, as Molly is a real Lady in the midst of our community and very much deserves the good wishes of everyone on her 90th birthday.

VINTAGE PRESENTATION
On last Friday night, Coolgreany Vintage Club and the Gap Vintage Club joined forces at the Gap Pub to present a cheque for €3,000 to the Kinsella Family Ballythomas, which was the proceeds of a Joint Car and Tractor Run which was held around the roads of the Local Area on Sunday, October 27. This run was an outstanding success and raised €3,000 which was handed over to the Kinsella Family to help a member of that family, who is seriously ill, Dan Kennedy and Mick Darcy represented both clubs and the jointly said it was a privilege to be able to help a very worthy cause from the proceeds the Car/Tractor Run.
