GALBALLY FUN RUN
The Galbally St Stephen’s Day fun run and walk, trot or pram push will take place from midday, with registration taking place from 11.30 a.m. The entry fee is €5 (adults) and €10 (families) and refreshments will be served in the hall afterwards. Everyone in the community is invited to go along and work off the indulgence of Christmas with what promises to be a great community event organised by Galbally Sports and Leisure Club.
CASTLETOWN CHARITY FUN RUN
Time to dust off your runners for the annual St Stephen’s Day 10km and 5km in Castletown. The run takes place, starting from the Golden Anchor, with a walk at 1 p.m. and the run starting at 2 p.m. There are prizes for all categories and the routes are suitable for all the family. Runners will be challenged by the 10km route, whilst the separate 5km coastal loop is also suitable for children and is buggy-friendly. Post-race refreshments will also be served. WEXFORD ON ICE
Wexford on Ice will take place on the Quay in Wexford Town right up until January 5. This authentic ice rink is one of the biggest in the country, with skaters being able to enjoy a hot chocolate, coffee or snack from the adjoining Coffee Dock.
There will also be sensory friendly and wheelchair family skate sessions on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 10.a.m. (These sensory friendly sessions will be free, with the organisers just asking for a donation to a charity on the day).
The cost is €11 - €48 (prices vary at off-peak times and for family bookings). Off-peak adult – €13; off-peak child (12 years and under) – €11; off-peak family of 3 – €34; off-peak family of 4 – €40. FAMILY WALK AND RUN
Campile United FC are hosting a family 5km walk and run on St Stephen’s Day. Registration is at 1 p.m. and everyone will leave from the pitch at 2 p.m. Sponsorship cards are available from Anthony Rowe on 087 2378702 and all money raised goes to the club.
