Croghan A.C. headed to Adamstown for the Masters cross-country and Juvenile relay event on Sunday.

The good times continue to roll for the club as the men’s team took an impressive silver medal, with Pat Foley, Mark Poole, Alex Williams and Kevin Morris making up the team with stellar performances. Derek Malone put in a fine display too.

The story got even better for Croghan, with another sensational individual run from Pat Foley. Pat dug really deep in the final stages to hold off all challengers as he grabbed a brilliant bronze.

The women’s team, made up of Sharon Wafer, Mary Kennedy and Suzanne Keane, all put in determined performances and were unlucky to finish just outside the team medals in fourth place.

Up next were the Juvenile relays. Croghan had two girls’ teams entered, Under-12 and Under-14, and both impressed greatly.

The Under-12 girls managed to secure a super silver. Well done to Siún Byrne, Ruby Gallagher-O’Reilly, Samhradh Thóibín and Freya Darcy.

The Under-14 girls were in the mood for medals too, coming an impressive third. Well done to Érin Byrne, Doireann Byrne, Mia Darcy and Ella Malone.

It was another fine day for the club on the county stage, at both Junior and Senior level.
