SLANEY ADVENTURE RACE
The Slaney Adventure Race will take place on Saturday, February 8, same routes and events as last year. Cycle 30k (from Bree Community Centre), Kayak 1k (Killurin), Run 6.5k forest run (finish in Bree Community Centre). Online registration – njuko.
BREE PARISH JOURNAL NO 19
Bree Parish Journal No 19 is now on sale. The journal covers many of the events and activities in the area over the past two years as well as a number of items of historical interest. The cost of the journal is €10 and it is available in Byrnes of Bree, Keeleys Ballybrennan, Londis Tomnalosset and also in the Bookshops in Enniscorthy and Wexford.
BREE MACRA
Congratulations to the Bree Macra Capers team who have qualified for the national final of the Capers show competition. The final will be held in Éire Óg Hall in Ovens, Co. Cork on Saturday February1st at 8 p.m. All support for the event would be greatly appreciated.
SCOIL MHUIRE NS BALLYHOGUE
Well done to the pupils of Ballyhogue NS who came first in the Primary Group Category of the 2019 Wexford Christmas Decoration Competition. Hundreds of children around the county participated in the competition which was open to all primary and secondary school children and it was a fantastic achievement for the school to come first in their category.
MACRA 60TH ANNIVERSARY
Bree Macra will be officially launching our 60th Anniversary dinner dance on Saturday, January 25. The launch will be at 8 p.m. in Bree Hall and will be followed by the capers team final dress rehearsal. The dinner dance is taking place in the Riverside Park Hotel, Enniscorthy on Friday, March 27, Tickets are €35 and are available from next Saturday onwards from any committee member. BALLYHOGUE GAA LOTTO
The numbers drawn in the recent Ballyhogue GAA lotto were 8, 14, 15 and 22. There was no jackpot winner. Match 3’s were Dan and Ann Fenlon, Richard Murphy, Kereight (twice), Arthur Dunne, park, Brendan Doyle, Carrig (twice). The next draw is January 22 for a jackpot of €1,400.
BREE AC NEWS
Bree AC were represented by two teams in the Leinster under-12 Cross Country Relays in Gowran last weekend. The team of Shane Laffan, PJ Breen, Tom Finn and Jayden Kenny were gold medal winners and the team of Sam Devereux, Billy Doyle, Jack Doyle and James Wall finished in a respectable 10th place. Best wishes to team one in the all-Ireland on February 8 in Rathdrum. Well done also to Ava Wilson, who was third in the under-10 individual race. Next Leinster for Bree AC athletes will be the Leinster Indoor Championships on February 1 and two at AIT.
YOGA CLASSES
Yoga Classes with Grace will resume in the Bree Community Centre Dance Studio on Monday, February 3, at 8.15 p.m. and on Thursday mornings at 10.15 a.m. Sessions are €10.

Bree Development Group AGM will take place on Monday, January 27, at 8.30 p.m. Bree Community Centre AGM AGM will take place on Monday, February 10, at 8.30 p.m. All are welcome to attend and all organisation using the community centre are especially asked to be represented.
