Impressive Ajax march on in Shield

Ajax Athletic marched on in the Leinster Junior Shield with an impressive 4-1 away win over Stamullen in their fourth round clash on Sunday.

Liam Moore, Glenn Buckley, Seán Farnan and Jason Russell all hit the back of the net for the Enniscorth­y outfit.

Division1

Moyne Rangers closed to within a point of leaders North End United with a 3-0 win over New Ross Celtic on Sunday.

Adamstown boosted their promotion hopes thanks to a 2-1 victory over Corach Ramblers.

Ian White and Conor Hickey scored for the winners, with Jon Reville replying.

Meanwhile, New Ross Town have withdrawn from Division 1 and walkovers have been awarded to their remaining opponents.

Division2

St. Leonards moved three points clear at the top of Division 2 after coming out on top 5-3 against Crossabeg on Sunday.

Eoin Ryan, Donal Kiely, Shane Ryan and Seán ‘Mini’ Ryan all hit the back of the net for the saints, with an own goal adding to their tally. Crossabeg replied through Davie Fenlon, Oran Maddock and an own goal.

Enniscorth­y United earned the local bragging rights by seeing off Shamrock Rovers 4-1, with goals from Dylan Groarke (two), Liam Egan and Jamie Fox.

Division3A

There was derby joy for Crossabeg on Sunday as they overcame Ballymurn Celtic 5-3 in Division 3A.

Seán Kelly, Eoin Raftery, Alex Wilson (two) and Joe Wilson scored for the winners, with Glen Murphy, Eoghan Kehoe and Josh Whitehead hitting the back of the net for Celtic.

Courtown Hibs also picked up three points with a 4-1 victory over Bunclody.

Oisín Condren, Liam Condren, Graham Greene and Adam Ellard got the goals for Hibs, with Dion Dunne replying.

Division4

Kiltealy Celtic missed the chance to join Rosslare Rangers at the top of the Division 4 table when their were held to a 1-1 draw by local rivals Caim United on Sunday.

Colin Beasley hit the back of the net for the hosts, with Gavin Rafter replying for Caim.

Tom Keavney was the match winner for Bridge Rovers as his hat-trick earned them a 3-2 win over Corach Ramblers.

Mark Hayes and Conor Neville got the goals for the visitors.

Division4A

Enniscorth­y United got back to winning ways in style as they overwhelme­d Campile United on Sunday.

Darren Walsh, Matiss Krummins, Mick Rigley, Miguel Duarte and Ryan Dwyer got their goals in a 5-0 victory.

St. Leonards edged out The Ballagh United 4-3 thanks to doubles from Mark O’Neill and Tarique Ngouoto, with Martin Og Storey (two) and Tom Kelly replying.

Meanwhile, Killenagh Wanderers have withdrawn from the division and walkovers have been awarded to their remaining opponents.

Division5

All Blacks moved to within three points of leaders Camolin Celtic with a 4-1 away win over Ajax Athletic on Sunday.

Tommy O’Rourke hit the back of the net for the hosts, but All Blacks proved too strong, with Mark Sinnott, Justin Morgan, Jack Doyle and Alex Clarke all getting on the scoresheet.
