THE Fortune Family have been in business since 1971, when John and Moira opened the much loved M&J Restaurant, which sadly closed it’s doors in 2001.
Since then the business has grown to include Burger Mac and Sharky’s. Now with restaurants at five different locations around County Wexford:

Over the past 20 years John and Moira have been joined by their 3 children, Glenda, Niall and Leonie, who now over-see the day to day running of the restaurants. Along with John’s sister Elizabeth, his brother Michael, his son Alan and extended family. And all their long serving employees who feel like family.
The company has always believed in quality products and promote buying from local suppliers.
With more than 100 employees now, the company still believes in superior products for reasonable prices and excellent customer service.
The Burger Mac menu has changed over the years to keep up with modern tastes and now features, mouth-watering wraps, aromatic Lavazza coffee and the extremely popular Siopa Shakes, however don’t worry the famous Chicken Fillet Burger, (made only as Burger Mac know how), is still served until 3.30am. Burger Mac have also included a 7 day-a-week free town delivery service for your convenience.
The company’s Sharky’s brand has become synonomous with only the best Fish and Chips. Our fresh fish is sourced from local Family-run Fish Mongers, Meylers, which we prepare and cut in store and cooked in our crispy fish batter. As always served with a generous portion of chips cut on site from potatoes grown in Kilmore Quay. Sharky’s are known for the selection of fish offered, including, Cod, Haddock, Smoked, Ray, Lemon Sole, Cod Goujon’s, Smoked Goujon’s and in our newest addition Rosslare we have included Monkfish Chunks and Calamari Rings. Sharky’s also has your regular staples including Burgers and of course Rissoles (famous only in Wexford). Sharky’s Church Lane, also provide a 7 daya-week free town delivery service.
