BALLINDAGGIN STORY HOUSE
A large attendance enjoyed the February session of Ballindaggin Story House on Thursday night last. It was a very sentimental evening with hilarious stories, great music with love songs and waltzing giving an air of romance on the eve of St Valentine’s.
Deepest sympathy was extended to Nannie Doyle on the recent death of her husband Johnny and also to Michael Pierce on the death of his brother John.
Prayerful good wishes was extended to people who are unwell at present especially Johnny Taylor, the chorus on the night was ‘get well soon Johnny’.

SYMPATHY
Sympathy is extended to the family of the late Johnny Doyle, Kilcullen, Ballindaggin, who died on February 6 To his wife Nannie and sister Rita we extend our deepest sympathy. Johnny was laid to rest in Ballindaggin Cemetery following funeral Mass in St Colman’s Church.
Deepest sympathy also to the sons and daughters of the late Cecil Riddall, Gurteen, Templeshambo, who died on February 4 and was interred in Templeshambo Churchyard. May they rest in peace.
BALLINDAGGIN COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT.
There was a good attendance at the AGM of Ballindaggin Community Development which took place recently. The following committee were elected for the coming year: chairman – Thomas Rafter; Vice-chair – John Murphy; secretary – Joe Walsh; Vice-secretary – Eamonn Frayne; treasurer – Paul Redmond; Vice-treasurer – Thomas Hipwell. They would like to thank everyone who attended the meeting and the new members who are very welcome. They intend to hold meetings monthly with the next meting on March 6.
POKER NIGHT
Duffry Rovers annual five card poker tournament will be held in the Thatch Pub, Kiltealy on Saturday, February 29, at 9 p.m. Tickets €20 including refreshments.

SPLIT THE POT
Last week’s winner of Kiltealy NS split-the-pot was Kathleen O’Leary, Springmount, who won €162 Play split-the-pot every week, envelopes available locally.
CONCERT DEFERRED
Ballindaggin Hall Committee have deferred the concert planned for St Patrick’s night to a later date.
