Nan’s Jack saves best until last

THE TRACK in Enniscorthy was in good order on Thursday, and some fast times were recorded.

The fastest of the night occurred in the last race when Nan’s Jack was a most impressive winner. Breaking level from his trap one box, he showed the better early form to lead around the opening bends.

And he raced clear down the back from Ballybreen King who tried hard to chase him down, but Nans was just on a different level and raced home a clear winner in a fast 28.96 -30 slow.

In race five over the 575 yards, this A2 also saw a good winner when Harriestown Star returned to something like his best when proving too strong by three lengths for Nametab Ostara.

Ostara could find no answer to the winner once he hit the front rounding the opening bends. Harriestown was always in control and went on to score his eleventh career win in a good 31.98 -30 slow.

Race four went to Dolls On Fire who was following up on a good win the previous week. The victor led from trap to line in a solid 29.16 -30 slow and is certainly in top form at the moment.

Racing returns to two nights a week from this week, and the first major stake of the year - the Easter Unraced - will start next Monday night, March 9, when some very nice pups will be on display. See you all there for a great night’s racing.
