PAULA DUFFIN HEALTH & WELLNESS CLINIC
Proprietor, and Acupuncturist at The Paula Duffin Health & Wellness Clinic, in Wexford Town, Paula has spent her entire adult life working within the healthcare industry. Initially qualifying as a Psychiatric Nurse in 2000, and working as part of the National Assisted Admissions team, Paula’s deep care for the people she treats made her eager to search for natural, non-invasive treatments, that could limit the sometimes negative effects of modern Pharmaceutical medicine’s.
Upon seeing that the ‘World Health Organisation’ recognised that Acupuncture is an effective treatment for mild Depression, Paula decided to research Chinese Medicine, and was astounded by the range of ailments and issues Chinese Medicine can treat; and upon finding the treatments are proven to be effective treating Fertility issues, Pain Management, Stress and Depression, Anxiety, and even aesthetical treatments, Paula decided to retrain as a Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner at The Irish College of Traditional Chinese Medicine; qualifying with distinction in 2007.
13 years after qualifying, Paula now owns a thriving Health and Wellness clinic at the Allied Hub in Whitemill, Wexford Town, and puts her Clinics success down to the professional care offered by her and her team. As Paula says “quite often people come to us as they have tried everything Western medicine can offer, or if they simply cannot wait months or years to be seen by The HSE for a hospital appointment. We understand that (as example) Pain, or Fertility issues can take over a person’s life, and therefore take time to understand the emotional strain our patients are under, as well as the physical. It is our job to ensure everyone that enters our caring environment feels secure knowing expert help is at hand”. This is both true of The Acupuncture Clinic, and the Motivation Weight Management clinic Paula owns. “Every treatment we offer, in both the Acupuncture, and Weight Loss is provided to improve the lives of the people that come to The Paula Duffin Health and Wellness Clinic; and It is truly satisfying when we receive thanks from a now pain free client, a new Mother that was struggling to conceive, or a client that has not only reached, but maintained their ideal weight”.
