Event to look to economic future of Wexford town

-

COUNTY Wexford Chamber and Invest Wexford are aiming to hear the views of local business leaders on the economic future of Wexford town as they host their ‘Wexford Town Leaders Event’ upstairs in Greenacres on Thursday, March 26, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

In an open invitation issued across the local business community by Senior Economic Advisor at Invest Wexford Ed Murphy, he said: ‘We are asking you and your peers as successful business leaders from the Wexford town area to join us to give input, ideas, energy and support to help the town take a “step change” to a brighter future.’

Mr Murphy went on to say that hopes are high to build on the recent investment in the road network and several major developments and initiatives that are in the pipeline for Wexford and to take a ‘more proactive approach’ to attracting investment to ‘create worthwhile jobs which can bring more youth and energy to our town’.

South East Radio’s Alan Corcoran will be the MC on the night with contributors from PWC, Carne Financial, Waters Technology, Scurri and many more.

Among the questions being thrown out to those in attendance will be what urgent changes are needed to transform Wexford town, what Wexford County Council can do to create a positive environment for the business community and to attract investment, what business leaders can do to achieve the same feat and what they key elements of a successful future vision for Wexford town by 2030 would be.

Those who wish to attend and take part can RSVP by March 19 to katieoconnor@wexfordchamber.ie.
