Blackwater GAA NOTES

Our minor footballers lost 3-12 to 2-09 to St Mary’s Rosslare in the championship in the first round. Unfortunately with recent developments it is unknown when the next matches will be.

The junior footballers enjoyed a one point win in extremely windy conditions in Monageer on Saturday afternoon for our junior footballers. The lads had a large panel to choose from and started with a very young team for the first day out. We played with the wind in the first half and were leading by four at the turn. Monageer went ahead in the second half but a Mossy Murphy goal had us back into the lead coupled with an excellent defensive effort saw us win it.

This week 25 years ago we defeated Adamstown in the football league 1-07 to 0-07.
