ST LOUIS DAY CARE CENTRE

St Louis Day Care Centre are open behind closed doors and are delivering Meals on Wheels and assisting the elderly and vulnerable in our community in any way we can by way of prescripti­on collection­s and deliveries, grocery shopping, advice and informatio­n.

Hook Tourism have closed both the Fethard and Duncannon offices till further notice due to COVID19. If anyone needs anything printed urgently then email info@hooktouris­m.com and we will endeavour to help.

PROGRESSIV­E 45

Due to the ongoing Coronaviru­s issue the Sunday night Progressiv­e 45 Card Game in Colclough Hall, Saltmills has been cancelled till further notice.

DR COX’S SURGERY

Dr Cox’s Surgery in Fethard is now closed to appointmen­ts. We will only see urgent cases. Please do not call to the surgery, phone if you need advice. Our phone lines have been inundated with phone calls so please be patient. We are doing prescripti­ons as normal and will send them to our local chemists. Your patience is appreciate­d at this difficult time.

ST MARY’S COMMUNITY HALL

The weekly bingo in St Mary’s Hall has been cancelled till further notice due to COVID 19. For other groups that have bookings in the hall that they believe will exceed 100 people in attendance, please get in touch with us if you require any further guidance.

LATE JIMMY FOLEY

The death has occurred of James (Jimmy) Foley, London and late of Fethard-on-Sea. Beloved husband of Patricia, and father of Julie (Wallin) and Stephen, brother of George, Ann and the late Lewis, Aiden and Brian, sadly missed by his grandchild­ren, nieces, nephews, extended family, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Due to Government and HSE advice regarding public gatherings a private family burial will take place following committal prayers in the New Cemetery Poulfur on Friday, March 27. Sympathy is extended to his family and friends, may he rest in peace.

FETHARD ST MOGUE’S GAA

All players both young and old are reminded that the GAA Complex in Ramstown is now out of bounds due to a directive from Croke Park regarding the cessation of all GAA activities till further notice due to COVID 19.

POULFUR PARISH OFFICE

The Poulfur/Templetown Parochial Office has moved to the priest’s house in Booley Hill where it is manned by the parish secretary, Geraldine Chapman on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 9.30 to 12.30 each day. The office will be closed on Tuesday, Bank Holidays, weekends and annual leave.
