COVID 19

With almost everyone confined to their homes due to Covid 19 it is a very worrying time for all but especially older people as they are isolating themselves in a bid to avoid the virus. With this in mind, Duffry Rovers GAA Club members are available to pick up and deliver groceries and fuel to anyone who may need it. Just contact any member or call Kiltealy Text Alert number. Meanwhile members of Kiltealy Community Developmen­t Group are also available to run errands or help in any way needed. See their Facebook page or call 087 6324756. A group in Ballindagg­in are also available to help anyone who may need it in the area. Also if you are willing to help, contact 087 6017666. Enniscorth­y Garda Station are putting together a list of local groups who are helping out during the virus and the above numbers are a point of contact for KIltealy and Ballindagg­in.

MASS

As all public Masses have been cancelled Mass is broadcast every morning at 10.30 a.m. on the RTÉ TV News Now channel. Also just to note that for people with access to YouTube you can watch Mass every morning on webcam from St Aidan’s Cathedral at 10 a.m. and from St Aidan’s Church, Ferns each morning at 9.30 a.m. You can also watch the Stations of the Cross every evening at 7 p.m. from Ferns on YouTube, Saturday Vigil Mass from Ferns is at 6.30 p.m. on YouTube. Saturday vigil Mass from Bunclody is on MCN Media at 7 p.m.

Kiltealy and Ballindagg­in churches are open daily for private prayer.

SYMPATHY

Deepest sympathy is extended to the Kehoe family, Cametigue on the death of Kathy Kehoe (neé Doyle), Cametigue, Bunclody, who passed away on Thursday, March 26, To her husband Jim and her sons and daughters, her brothers and extended family we extend our deepest sympathy. Interment took place in Calvary Cemetery on Friday last.

May she rest in peace.

WALKING

There are many beautiful walks in KIltealy and Ballindagg­in where people can pass the day and keep children occupied. This includes Kiltealy Walking Trails and Ballindagg­in wind turbine walks, while Woodbrook and Killanne areas have beautiful woodland and historic walks to be enjoyed while keeping your distance of six feet apart and obeying HSE guidelines.
