Presentation Centre adapts to crisis

-

THE management and staff in the Presentation Centre in Enniscorthy are working very hard to ensure that planned events in the venue take place – albeit on later dates than originally planned.

The coronavirus crisis has put schedules all over the country into turmoil, however, as the old saying goes ‘the show must go on’ and with that in mind the centre is trying its best to keep things ticking over until normality returns.

A number of very big-name acts were due to appear at the venue in recent weeks, including Jerry Fish.

Renowned for his showmanship as much as he is for his music, there was a great deal of anticipation locally when the gig was first announced for earlier in the year.

However, the original date had to be rescheduled and Jerry Fish will now appear at the venue on May 15.

Far more than just another singer songwriter, Jerry Fish brings an all-encompassing performance that includes aspect of vaudeville style theatre as much as it does music and song.

Fish is a renowned playwright, singer, poet and songwriter who has two platinum selling albums to his name, an MTV award and an IRMA music award.

Tickets for the show, which promises to be one of the performances of the year, are priced €22. The show will get under way at 8.30 p.m. Another show that has been rescheduled in the venue is Wexford rock band, JMA’s tribute to the legendary Bob Dylan and Neil Young.

Their rescheduled show will now take place on June 29 and will also begin at 8.30 p.m.

The show will feature many of Dylan’s and young’s most famous hits.

The set will include everything from ‘Rocking in the Free World’ to ‘Like A Rolling Stone’ and many more in between.
