BUNCLODY LIBRARY

Bunclody Library is now closed until April 19, at least.

Members can borrow ebooks and audio books through Borrowbox.

Members can download the app onto their smartphone and/ or iPad to gain access to thousands of e-books and e-audio books from home. To do so, they can click on the App Store applicatio­n for iOS or iPhone or the Play Store for Android on the home screen of their device.

From here select the search option and type in Borrowbox. Once the search is complete the Borrowbox app should appear with the option to download.

Once downloaded, tap on the app to open up Borrowbox. On the login screen, select Wexford Library and then enter your library card number and pin. An email address will also be required when signing up.

Once this is done people will be able to begin searching, reserving and reading e-books and e-audio books through the app.

Log on to wexfordcoc­o.ie/ libraries/ebooks-and-eresources to see the array of digital resources that can be accessed on a smart device or home computer.

In light of the very difficult and serious situation posed by COVID-19, Bunclody Vocational College wish to advise the suspension of their Split the Pot Draw. Envelopes already entered will be included in our next draw which will take place when we resume our draw.

Fashion Show

Bunclody Vocational College Parents Associatio­n wish to advise that their Fashion Show, due to be held on Friday May 8th 2020, has been postponed in light of the COVID-19 situation. They hope to be in a position to reschedule this in early autumn

The Parents Associatio­n urge all parents and students to adhere to the strict guidelines set out by the HSE and the Government in relation to the combat of COVID-19. Stay safe.

ALTERNATIV­E MASS ARRANGEMEN­TS

Public Masses have been cancelled for the forseeable future due to the corona virus. However, the public can watch Mass online at mcnmedia.tv by searching for Bunclody. Other churches are also available to view.

Mass services are also broadcase at 10 a.m. on Sundays on South East Radio; at 11.10 a.m. on Sundays on RTÉ One television; and at 10 a.m. on Sundays on Radio Maria (listen live at radiomaria.ie or Saorview Channel 210).

All Church of Ireland Churches in Bunclody union are closed for the foreseeabl­e future.

Parishione­rs might like to consult the diocesan website, cashel.anglican.org, for a list of clergy who are live streaming private worship on Sundays.

PARISH OFFICE

Bunclody parish office is operating reduced hours during the Covid-19 public health crisis. The office will be open on Mondays and Fridays only.

ASSISTANCE AVAILABLE DURING COVID-19 CRISIS

While keeping in line with the restrictio­ns and guidelines in place regarding Covid-19, Half-Way-House/Bunclody GAA, Ladies Football and Bunclody Camogie Clubs will do whatever they can to help anyone in the community who may need assistance.

Contact James Doyle 0879594639, Mark Sheehan 087-1507808 or James Crean 087-7760992 for help with the collection of food shopping, medication/prescripti­ons or any other necessitie­s and they will do their very best to organise assistance for you.

GAA FACILITIES CLOSED

The GAA public liability and player injury insurance has been suspended until further notice.

This means that all amenities in the club are closed, including the walking track, gym and indoor facility.

The public’s co-operation at this time is greatly appreciate­d.

DAY CARE CLOSED

Bunclody Day Care Centre and Monday Club are closed until further notice due to the Public Health Crisis caused by the corona virus.
