EMILY JANE’S LIVE STREAM

If you want a little something to cheer you up on Sunday evenings, here’s an idea that may help. Emily Jane is a Wexford based singer songwriter and an emerging talent on the Irish music scene.

Usually this young lady is impossible to pin down, as she is performing at Raglan Road, in Disney World, Orlando. However, at the moment, on Sunday evenings, for the next while, Emily will perform a live stream on Facebook to keep us all entertained.

Her powerful voice and mix of rock-pop and folk is sure to bring a smile to your face. Listen in. Emily Jane Furlong – live stream – Facebook – Sundays.

TOGETHER WE WILL SUCCEED

Glynn-Barntown GAA Club has a group of volunteers willing to help vulnerable parishioners at this time for grocery/medical collections etc. Please visit our website for further information or contact – John Cooney 087 2807679.

It is important to keep the older people in our community ‘connected’ and informed during this time. Please pick up the phone or check in with elderly family members and neighbours to make sure they are not feeling isolated.

O’BRIEN’S LONDIS

Our store will now be closing at 10 p.m. every night till further notice. Please spread the word.

A reminder also to anyone who may be nervous about being out and about, O’Brien’s Londis, Larkins Cross is offering a free local delivery service during this current crisis. Please phone the shop at 053 9120021 with your order. Feel free also to put the word out to those who may not know.

We also want our customers to know that we are doing everything we can to ensure that they feel safe while in the shop. In addition to our floor markings, we have now placed screens at all our checkouts so that social distancing can be practiced there too. Take care everyone.

TRÓCAIRE BOXES

This time of year, we would usually get back Trócaire boxes here in the diocese of Ferns, but this is not possible this year, and unfortunate because it’s at a time when the developing world needs our help the most. Please hold onto your boxes till further notice and we will be in contact about how to return them when it will be safe for you to do so.

Donations can be made over the phone – LoCall 1850 408408 or donations can be made online at trocaire.org.

ROSARY ON FACEBOOK LIVE

Fr Paddy McCafferty – a regular visitor to Barntown – will lead the Rosary every evening on Facebook live at 8 p.m. If the time has to change, Fr Paddy will let everyone know this on Facebook. Thank you Fr Paddy.
