BUNCLODY SWIMMING POOL

Bunclody Swimming Pool Committee has made the difficult decision not to open the pool this Summer for the first time in our 49-year history. Although government guidelines have stated that public pools may open after July 20, we cannot ensure the 2 metre social distancing and continuous disinfection required in the water and changing rooms in order to comply. We realise this will be a huge loss to the community but feel it is the responsible course of action. We have also consulted with Bunclody Amenities and agreed that the tennis courts and playground will also remain closed until further notice for the same reasons. We will, however, have to continue paying our annual insurance premium in the region of €12,000 and for this reason have decided to continue with the Silver Circle Draw. A draw for April, May and June will be held at social distance on Friday, June 5, with the final draw taking place in July. If you are a monthly subscriber to the Draw, please make sure that you pay your draw co-ordinator to bring you up to date so your name can be included in the monthly draws. Your support is greatly needed and we all look forward to having the pool and other amenities open to all of us next year.
