PATRON

Sunday, May 31, was a beautiful, sunny day for what should have been the annual patron and blessing of graves in Marshalstown. Mass was celebrated at 3 p.m. on the webcam which was very different as it was always the day people returned to their native parish for the patron and to catch up with family and friends. For some people this was the only time in the year they were back ‘home’. The graves were Blessed later in the day.

STORYTELLING

Story House in Castledockrell has been cancelled till further notice due to Covid-19. Hopefully it will be back better than ever soon. Keep safe everyone. See friends old and new soon.

BINGO

We wish to inform everyone that the bingo in Marshalstown Community Centre has been cancelled till further notice due to Covid-19. Apologies for any inconvenience caused and thank you for your support in the past.

SYMPATHY

Sympathy is extended to the families of the late Kathleen Murphy and the late Peg O’Connor. May they rest in peace.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY

Wishing a very Happy birthday to those in the parish, who celebrated their birthdays recently especially those who had significant birthdays.

SUNDAY ENVELOPES

Those, who wish to contribute to the parish using their Sunday envelopes for Castledockrell or Marshalstown may do so by leaving them at the Parochial House Marshalstown or by sending a cheque made payable to either Castledockrell Parish or Marshalstown Parish and send them to Fr McDonald by post.

CHURCH SERVICES

Marshalstown Church now has a webcam. Mass on Sunday mornings will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Masses during the week will be announced each day after Mass.

SOCIAL DANCING

social dancing that usually takes place in Marshalstown Community Centre has been cancelled till further notice due to Covid-19. Looking forward to seeing all soon again.
