Fines handed out to number of motorists
MOTORING offences attracted fines as Judge Brian O’Shea sat at Wexford District Court.
Michael Murphy, 70 Ross Road, Enniscorthy, was summonsed as owner of a car parked near his home last August without up-to-date tax disc or insurance disc. He was fined €100 for both offences.
Lovarit Petrovici, 14 Court Street, Enniscorthy, similarly had no tax disc (fined €100) or insurance disc (fined €100) on a parked Nissan Almera in Court Street on July 5 in 2018.
Ricky Dunne (34), 6 St Moling’s Terrace, Enniscorthy, was found to have an out-of-date tax disc on the black Volkswagen Golf stopped at a checkpoint in Cathedral Street on September 9 last. He received a fine of €140.
John O’Rourke (40), 32 Ross Road, Enniscorthy, had no valid tax disc displayed on a Volkswagen Passat stopped by a garda at Scurloughsbush on October 27, resulting in a fine of €140.
Sean Darcy (55), Ballyhogue, incurred a fine of €140 as he was seen holding a mobile phone while driving a Fiat van at Scarawalsh on August 29 last.
John Murphy (41), 1 Meadowfield, The Moyne, Enniscorthy, did not have his NCT in order on a Mazda 323 hatchback examined at Cathedral Street on September 9. He was fined €160.
