Fined and put off road for drink driving

A drink drive conviction earned Stephen Cass (30), 6 Lower William Street, New Ross, a conviction with a two-year driving disqualification.

The details of the offence, which occurred at Hospital Road, were not aired at Wexford District Court after a guilty plea was entered.

The judge noted that Cass had previous convictions for motor insurance offences but had nothing on his record for drink driving.

A fine of €400 was imposed.
