BOOLAVOGUE
CHURCH NEWS
Even thought some of the restrictions were lifted yesterday, Monday, June 29, St Cormac’s church is still available online at ipcamlive.com/boolavoguechurch. Churches have been exempted from the 50 person limit to indoor meetings, but everyone in the congregation must continue to observe social distancing rules.
ANNUAL PATRON
The annual patron in St Cormac’s cemetery, which had been postponed, has been rescheduled for Sunday, July 12, at 2 p.m. Mass will be celebrated in the graveyard, weather permitting, and everyone attending is reminded of their responsibility for social distancing.
As there is only one entry/exit into the cemetery, Fr White will be arranging for stewards to help control the flow in and out on the day. Naturally, given the circumstances, there will be no field day held after the patron.
GAA CHAMPIONSHIP DRAWS
The draws have been made for the revised championship competitions and our intermediate hurlers are drawn against Buffers Alley and Blackwater. The Junior Hurlers take on Bannow-Ballymitty and Marshalstown-Castledockrell. Castletown and Naomh Éanna are the Junior Footballers’ opponents, while the Junior ‘A’ footballers have St Anne’s and Marshalsltown/Castledockrell to contend with.
