PATRONS

As the Patrons in the two cemeteries in Castledockrell and Crioshoe children’s cemetery could not be held recently due to Covid-19 restrictions. A Mass was celebrated on the webcam from Marshalstown church and graves were blessed privately. Thanks to Fr McDonald for doing this. Many people put flowers on their graves and visited the graves of their family members for private prayer.

CHURCH SERVICES

Mass on Saturday evenings (Vigil Mass) will be celebrated from Marshalstown Church at 7.30 p.m. on the webcam. As there is no webcam in Castledockrell Church, Mass will be celebrated there on Sunday mornings at 10 a.m. but will not be on webcam. Masses in both churches are open to the public bearing in mind social distancing and restricted numbers. Masses during the week will be announced each day after Mass. Website is Churchmedia.ie. BINGO

We wish to inform everyone that the bingo in Marshalstown Community Centre has been cancelled till further notice due to Covid-19. Apologies for any inconvenience caused and thank you for your support in the past.

STORYTELLING

Story House in Castledockrell has been cancelled till further notice due to Covid-19. Hopefully it will be back better than ever soon. Keep safe everyone. See friends old and new soon.

SYMPATHY

Sympathy is extended to the family of the late Maura Cullen. May she rest in peace.

SOCIAL DANCING

Social dancing that usually takes place in Marshalstown Community Centre has been cancelled till further notice due to Covid-19. Looking forward to seeing all soon again.

BIRTHDAYS

To all in the parish, who celebrated their birthdays (especially ‘big’ birthdays) and/or anniversaries during the last few weeks. Hope everyone enjoyed their events.

SUNDAY ENVELOPES

Those who wish to contribute to the parish using their Sunday envelopes for Castledockrell or Marshalstown may do so by leaving them at the Parochial House Marshalstown or by sending a cheque made payable to either Castledockrell Parish or Marshalstown Parish and send them to Fr McDonald by post.

NOTES DEADLINE

Please note due to an earlier deadline, items for the notes should reach me by 6 p.m. on the Thursday before each issue, including on bank holiday weekends. Also only not-forprofit items should be included in the notes. Thank you for your co-operation.
