Gorey financial adviser earns accreditation

-

GOREY’S Philip Cullen has achieved the Thought Leader in Mortgages & Financial Planning accreditation from the All-Ireland Business Foundation for the second year in a row.

Mr Cullen is a qualified financial and retirement planning adviser and has worked in the industry for 20 years.

Director of SEFS Ltd. T/A Southeast Mortgages and Financial Services, he set up Southeast Mortgage & Financial Services in 2013 in Gorey.

There he works as financial broker, and being a member of a member of Brokers Ireland, the Life Association of Ireland and the Institute of Bankers, he provides professional advice to companies and individuals.

Speaking about the latest accreditation, Mr Cullen said that it’s great recognition.

‘It’s hard for a SME to achieve national recognition and it’s

a great feeling to have that third-party verification. The top benefit of this accreditation is social proof. This means more clients will trust us with their finances.

‘We love that people see that we strive to a certain standard, it helps us spread our story and brand,’ he said.

The accreditation is overseen by the All-Ireland Business Foundation, whose adjudication panel is chaired by Dr Briga Hynes of the Kenny Business School at University of Limerick and Kieran Ring, CEO of the Global Institute of Logistics.

The accreditation provides a independently verified standard mark for businesses, based on rigorous selection criteria.

During the process, a company’s background, trustworthiness and performance is assessed by talking to customers and employees.

The company is anonymously approached by the Foundation acting as a customer, and they report back on the experience, and lastly there is an interview process.

The accreditation is now held by over 350 firms, and the process to select the next group of Business All-Star accredited companies has begun, with further information available at www.businessallstars.ie.
