Please be on the lookout for all your neighbours and friends in these extraordinary times of Covid 19, it is very important for everyone to be aware of what is going on around us and be to keep your distance and obey the guidelines we are hearing on a regular basis from the media in general. These guidelines are specifically relevant to the not so young who may be more vul
nerable, and hopefully we can all come out at the other end in good health.
SYMPATHY
The local community extend their deepest sympathy to Siobhán Hayes, Scarnagh on the recent death of her mother Kathleen Mythen, Kilanerin.
Sincere sympathy is also extended to Kathleen Kavanagh, Johnstown on the recent death of her sister Margaret Ryan, Carlow, whose burial took place in Carlow on last Wednesday. May they both rest in peace.
TIDY TOWNS
Well done to all the local helpers and CE workers who are doing such great work to keep the village looking so well in these unusual times. It is important that we look after all the lawns and flower beds around our own areas.
ARKLOW GOLDEN CIRCLE
Golden circle social group are sad to advise that due to Covid 19 restrictions we have had to defer our planned holiday to Kerry in October, This is totally outside our control and due entirely to government restrictions and advice.
We are monitoring the situation and will advise when a new date for the trip is arranged. Anyone who has paid deposits please contact Gertie to arrange a refund or to leave the deposit for when the trip does go ahead.
MAY BYRNE HOUSE
The regular Friday coffee mornings are continuing as normal so far at May Byrne House between 10 a.m. and midday with scones, tarts cake etc, everyone is welcome, with the Covid 19 regulations in mind at all times. Please observe.
