BREAK-IN

A house near Boolavogue was broken into on Friday morning, October 9. The meanspirit­ed malicious thieves ransacked the

house and escaped with some cash. Anyone, who noticed any suspicious activity in the Tobar Geal, Ballytrace­y, or Mullawnrea­gh area on Friday morning is asked to contact the Garda in Ferns.

SOCCER NEWS

While matches are cancelled under the present Covid directives, training for St Cormac’s teams continues. All training will take place in accordance with government guidelines. Anyone with a query should contact the relevant team manager or the club’s chairperso­n, Philip Christophi.

BOG LANE TARRED

Well done to Dorothy Hall and her intrepid band who helped clean-up the site of ‘Shorehole’ Jack Murphy’s house on the ‘Bog Lane’ and who also managed to persuade Wexford County Council to have the lane tarred. With current Covid restrictio­ns in place, this is now a lovely peaceful walk for those who wish to exercise or take in some fresh air.

FORÓIGE NEWS

The local Foróige club will keep meeting, observing all guidelines and directives. Until otherwise directed, the club will be meeting in Luke Foran Park on Fridays evenings.
