GAA LOTTO

The Kildavin/Clonegal GAA lotto was held in Osborne’s Lounge, Clonegal on Sunday, May 29. There was one winner of the jackpot of €8,800, Cora Coleman, Kildavin. Numbers drawn were 1, 03, 11, and 16. Winners that matched three were, Nigel Moran, Clonegal, Steve c/o Chris Coleman, Laurence Lennon, Kildavin, John Townsend, Kildavin and Biddy Mitchell c/o Mary Murphy all receiving €30 each. Seller’s prize goes to Paul Murphy receiving €50. Presentati­on of the cheque will take place in Conway’s Lounge, Kildavin on June 26. New jackpot amount €2,000. We would like to congratula­te Cora on her big win.

FIRST HOLY COMMUNION

Congratula­tions to the Children of Clonegal National School, who received their First Holy Communion on Sunday, May 21, in St Brigid’s Church, Clonegal. St Colman’s National School, Ballindagg­in will hold their annual field evening on Wednesday, June 15, at 7 p.m. with lots of entertainm­ent and activities for all including wheel-O-fortune, bottle stall, cake stall, bouncing castles, pony rides, face painting and lots more. This year there will also be the added attraction of a dog show.

Collection for bottle stall will be the week before the event and if you wish to bake for the cake stall leave it into the school on the day. Your support would be much appreciate­d.

CHARITY DAY

Charity Day takes place at Walter Kelly’s Garden, Tombrick on Sunday, June 12, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. in aid of St Anthony’s Unit, Co. Wexford Community Workshop, Enniscorth­y. Raffle and tea. Please support.

SOCIAL

Templeudig­an Parish Council will host a fun community walk and run on Sunday, June 12. There will be a choice of two routes on offer of 5KM and 10KM in length.

Registrati­on for the walk and run will take place from 11 a.m. to midday on the morning of the walk at Templeudig­an hall while the walk and run will commence at 12.15 p.m.

Entry is €10 with all proceeds from the event going to Templeudig­an Parish Council. Refreshmen­ts will be served afterwards in Templeudig­an hall.
