On Tuesday last, June 14, our under-12 footballers were at home in Monageer to Marshalstown and beat them by double scores, 4-10 to 2-5. Our lads were two points down after the first third although a brilliant longrange goal from Christopher Kelly had cut the deficit. At the end of the second third, they were one point ahead and then upped their play in the last third. Adam Power netted a great goal and Sophie Kirwin added two superb goals. Stylish points from Fionn Walsh, James DeLacy, James Donnelly and Bobby McKeown put paid to any hope Marshalstown had of making a comeback. Tonight they are out against Duffry Rovers and are hoping to make it three wins out of four games.

TIDY VILLAGE

The ‘Tidy Village’ group have been busy planting flowers around Boolavogue recently in preparation for the upcoming Patron. The flower boxes at the entrance to the Fr Murphy Centre have been revamped and fresh bedding plants have been added to the displays at the ‘Boolavogue’ signs at either end of the village. Thanks to Christy Whelan’s help, a seat has been placed near the ‘Boolavogue’ sign in Tomnaboley. The grop still has some extra work to do and hope to have it completed in time for the Patron. If you have a few minutes to spare the group would appreciate any help you could possibly give them.

They have also been busy clearing gripes and ditches, this time on the Ballyorley road from the Old Post Office down as far as Ballyorley cross and then up as far as the Grotto. They collect-
