COFFEE MORNING

There is a coffee morning at C and R Oldreys, Whitefield Park, Morriscast­le on Friday, July 22, from 10 a.m. in aid of Eyethn School in a township in South Africa. Everyone welcome. Come and enjoy some coffee and homemade goodies.

SEÁN OG’S BRIDGE CLUB

Come play bridge every Monday night at the Upton Court Hotel at 7 p.m. sharp-bring a partner; there is bridge also on Thursday morning from 10.am, no partner needed as we have a joker system in operation all are welcome.

HIIT CLASS

TIDY TOWNS

There will be a gate collection outside St Mary’s Church on Saturday and Sunday, July 30 and 31. All money raised will go to Kilmuckrid­ge Tidy Towns. Thanking you in advance.

We are organising a garden competitio­n in our village. If you would like your garden to be included in this competitio­n please fill in an applicatio­n form and return it to one of the collection boxes no later than 5 p.m. Wednesday, July 27. Applicatio­n forms/collection boxes can be found at Kate’s Kitchen, Londis (Kiosk), Kilmuckrid­ge Hardware, Julie’s Hairdresse­rs, and Centra (Kiosk). There will be a prize for best garden in each estate and in and around the village. Judging will take place in August. Results will be announced in September.

SHINE SUMMER SCHOOL

Shine Summer School takes place at Kilmuckrid­ge Memorial Hall from August 8 to August 12 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Enjoy an action packed week of Dance, Drama, TV Presenting and so much more. Learn dance routines, act out scenes, practice being a TV presenter, build confidence, use your imaginatio­n, work as part of a team and above all, have fun. Eilis Laurence and Paul Teal are holding a coffee morning and cake sale in the Loch Garman Arms Hotel in Gorey on Friday, July 22, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. to raise funds for Paul’s year volunteeri­ng in South Africa with the charity group Project Trust. Eilis and Paul would appreciate your support.

OPEN WATER 4K SWIM

The Courtown to Ballymoney 4k Swim takes place on July 24, starting at Courtown RNLI Station swimming north along the coast to the finishing point at Ballymoney North Beach. Starting at 11 a.m., the maximum swim time expected is 2.5 hours. All money raised on the day will go towards sending the Wexford Water Safety/Surf Lifesaving team to the World Championsh­ips in Holland in September. BLACKWATER MACRA

A busy few weeks for club members and friends who recently attended annual summer social to Shed Fest and Oulart/ The Ballagh Barn dance. Well done also to club members in recent Tag Rugby match a strong performanc­e and a very close game ended in a draw, score 7-7 well done everyone great teamwork and great to see Blackwater Macra drive this initiative.
