BALLY G BASH

Excitement is building ahead of the Bally G Bash which takes place at the Ballygarre­tt GAA complex on Friday, August 5. Doors open at 8 p.m.

Four bands will play on the night including: local groups Haywire, Wild Turkeys, and Los Wexicanos; and Gorey live band Thunderbir­d. There’s also a barbecue. Tickets are just €5 and all proceeds go to Ballygarre­tt Tidy Towns. Right of admission reserved. Over-18s only.

BLOTTO

There was no jackpot winner in last week’s Ballygarre­tt GAA Club Blottery. The numbers picked were 4, 26, 27, and 30. The €20 lucky dip winners were: Marion Hayes; Lorraine McDonald; Fiona Cameron; Bernie Byrne; and Bridget Byrne. The five free tickets winner was Emma McDonald. This week’s jackpot rose to €6,400.

TEENAGE DISCO

A Teenage Disco will take place in Ballygarre­tt GAA Clubhouse on Friday, July 22. Event is fully Supervised, Over-12s only, €5. 9 p.m. to 11 p.m.

CÚL CAMPS

Kellogg’s Cúl Camps will take place in Ballygarre­tt GAA Club from July 25 to July 29. You can register on-line or contact team mentor for details.

FUN BEACH WALK/RUN

A 5km Family Fun Beach Walk/ Run in aid of Ballygarre­tt Christmas Tree and Lights will take place on Sunday, July 31, on Old Bawn Beach at 12.30 p.m. Registrati­on at 11.30 a.m. – Family €10. COURTOWN 4K SWIM

The Courtown to Ballymoney 4k Swim takes place on July 24, starting at Courtown RNLI Station swimming north along the coast to the finishing point at Ballymoney North Beach. Starting at 11 a.m., the maximum swim time expected is 2.5 hours. All money raised on the day will go towards sending the Wexford Water Safety/Surf Lifesaving team to the World Championsh­ips in Holland in September. Come play bridge every Monday night at the Upton Court Hotel at 7 p.m. sharp-bring a partner; there is bridge also on Thursday morning from 10.am, no partner needed as we have a joker system in operation all are welcome.
