Mary earns her stripes in style

Good turn-out at dog track

-

THURSDAY NIGHT’S card at Enniscorthy Dog Track was a fundraiser in aid of Davidstown-Courtnacuddy G.A.A. club, and there was a very good turn-out to enjoy some fine racing.

The feature event was the final of the €1,700 to the winner Horse and Hound Tri-Distance Stake, and the in-form Stripe Mary proved victorious.

Following up her recent final win at Clonmel, she got out well from her trap two box and while favourite Droopys Clement challenged at the third bend, Stripe found a bit more and came home a snug two lengths clear of the latter in a good time of 31.64 over the 575 yards distance.
