Wells House to host a fun family festival this month
THERE will be plenty of family fun on offer at Wells House and Gardens on August 13 and 14.
Wells House has teamed up with Wexford Arts Centre to deliver a weekend of fun and creative activities for all age.
The two-day schedule of activities includeS opportunities for children to make their own beautiful pinwheel in the Little Artist Workshops.
Red Moon Puppet theatre will also provide interactive entertainment for children with their puppet shows. More children’s entertainment comes in the form of story telling with favourite children’s fairy tales and adding to the festival feel will be face painting.
There will also be harp music from Kate McKenna, frolics with Buí Bolg characters and extracts from Shakespeare in the woodlands from Arena productions.
Music over the weekend will be by Wexford country singer Donna Marie, who has supported artists such as Davey Arthur & The Fureys, Brian Kennedy and the Saw Doctors. The headline act will be Corner Boy.
Enjoy food from the Wells House and Gardens barbecue, dine in the restaurant or bring your own picnic to enjoy on the lawn.
The two-day summer festival runs daily from 12 noon until 6pm and gates open at 10am. Entry is €8 per car.
