How they stand in IHC
THE MEN will be separated from the boys between now and the end of August as the last two rounds of group games in The Courtyard Ferns Intermediate hurling championship take place.
The next action will be on Saturday, August 13, when five matches are down for decision, with the remaining one on the following day.
Group A will see Ballygarrett meet Shamrocks in Camolin at 3.30 p.m., and Rathgarogue-Cushinstown play Adamstown in New Ross at 7.15 p.m., both on Saturday week, and Monamolin will host the clash of Askamore and Oulart-The Ballagh at 5.45 p.m. on Sunday.
All three Group B encounters will be on the 13th, with Monageer-Boolavogue versus Craanford in Camolin at 2 p.m., and a St. Patrick’s Park double-header featuring HWH-Bunclody against Oylegate-Glenbrien at 2 p.m., and Blackwater taking on keen rivals Crossabeg-Ballymurn at 3.30 p.m.
Group A points: Ballygarrett and Shamrocks, 4 each; Oulart-The Ballagh and Rathgarogue-Cushinstown, 3 each; Adamstown and Askamore, 2 each.
Group B points: Crossabeg-Ballymurn, 6; HWH-Bunclody and Oylegate-Glenbrien, 4 each; Craanford and Monageer-Boolavogue, 2 each; Blackwater 0.
Moving to the Top Oil Intermediate ‘A’ hurling championship, the games on Saturday, August 13, are Ballyfad v. Our Lady’s Island (Group A, Oylegate, 5.45 p.m.) and St. Patrick’s v. Rathnure (Group B, Oylegate, 7.15 p.m.).
Then on Sunday, August 14, Group A matches will pit Taghmon-Camross against St. James in New Ross at 5.45 p.m. and Marshalstown-Castledockrell versus Liam Mellows in Monamolin at 7.15 p.m.
There will be a Group B double bill in St. Patrick’s Park earlier in the day as Geraldine O’Hanrahans face Duffry Rovers at 12.30 p.m. and Fethard tackle Buffers Alley at 2 p.m.
