THE JUNIOR hurling championsh­ip will continue on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, August 12-14.

Two games are due to be played at 7.15 p.m. on the Friday, with Naomh Eanna facing St. Mary’s (Rosslare) in Hollymount, and Tara Rocks playing Faythe Harriers in St. Patrick’s Park, both in Group B.

The first Group A encounter between Gusserane and Bannow-Ballymitty is in O’Kennedy Park, New Ross, on Saturday, August 13, at 5.45 p.m., with the third featuring Horeswood and Rapparees at the same venue on Sunday, August 14, at 7.15 p.m.

Bree will house a double-head- er of games on the Sunday, with Ferns St. Aidan’s playing Clongeen in Group B at 12.30 p.m., and Davidstown-Courtnacud­dy meeting Shelmalier­s in Group Aat 2 p.m.

Group A points: Rapparees, 6; Horeswood and Shelmalier­s, 4 each; Bannow-Ballymitty and Gusserane, 2 each; Davidstown-Courtnacud­dy 0.

Group B points: Tara Rocks, 6; Faythe Harriers, 4; Clongeen, Ferns St. Aidan’s, Naomh Eanna and St. Mary’s (Rosslare), 2 each.

Five of the Junior ‘A’ hurling championsh­ip games are on Friday, August 12, at 7.15 p.m.

Buffers Alley are at home to Rathnure while Duffry Rovers will host Monageer-Boolavogue in Group A, and the Group B ties (first-named at home) are Oulart-The Ballagh v. Cloughbawn, HWH-Bunclody v. St. Martin’s and St. Fintan’s v. Ballyhogue.

The last game in Group A will see Glynn-Barntown host Kilmore on Sunday, August 14, at 7.15 p.m.

Group A points: Monageer-Boolavogue, 6; Glynn-Barntown, 4; Duffry Rovers and Kilmore, 3 each; Buffers Alley, 2; Rathnure, 0.

Group B points: Cloughbawn, 6; Ballyhogue and St. Martin’s, 4 each; St. Fintan’s, 2; HWH-Bunclody and Oulart-The Ballagh, 1 each.
