Specsavers hosted two family fun days

Specsavers Wexford celebrated its 13th birthday with two family fun days last week.

Store Directors Steve Schokman and Mags Smart along with a team of experience­d optometris­ts, an audiologis­t and highly trained staff are an integral part of the community, providing exceptiona­l optical and hearing services along with stylish yet affordable eyewear.

Specsavers Wexford hosted a two family days treating customers to delicious birthday cake and the Specsavers balloon arch was in situ to further brighten the occasion.

Store Director Steve Schokman said: ‘We are delighted to be celebratin­g 13 successful years in business and would like to thank the people of Wexford who have supported us from the beginning and our wonderful customers for their continued loyalty.

‘We are a local community optician and hearing centre, where supporting charities is a key part of our culture. The store fundraises throughout the year for Meningitis Research Foundation’ he added.

Specsavers Wexford is a state-of-the-art optical facility boasting three optical testing rooms. The store has also invested in sophistica­ted optical technology such as Digital Precision Eyecare, a cutting edge new way of selecting and fitting customers’ glasses using imaging software on tablet devices, and a Fundus Camera which can detect a variety of health problems.

In addition to being experts in eye health, Specsavers Wexford also specialise­s in hearing. Having launched in 2009, the dedicated hearing room is complete with a soundproof booth to ensure the most accurate results when conducting hearing tests.

Since opening in 2003, the staff have expanded from a team of eight to 20. Specsavers Wexford was the first opticians in Ireland to receive the NSAI Excellence Through People Awards’ in 2005.
