Tell your friends and relatives around the world - their favourite local newspaper is now available at the click of a mouse.

People Newspapers has just finished developing its new website, and all six of its weekly titles - Wexford People, New Ross Standard, Enniscorthy/Gorey Guardian, Wicklow People, Bray People, and Carlow People - are now available on the internet.

The site is located at http://www.peoplenews. ie and is designed to be as user-friendly as possible. Stories are updated weekly, each Thursday night or Friday morning, and the service is entirely free of charge.

When on the ‘ home’ page, you can select News- desk or Sportsdesk. Newsdesk gives a selection of the week’s top news stories, some of them even with pictures. Sportsdesk gives you match reports and results. Tips for browsing our site are: 1 - Don’t forget to ‘ bookmark’ the site. This means you will quickly be able to go there each time you are on the internet, instead of having to type the address in each time.

2 - Even better - set http://peoplenews.ie as your ‘ home page’, and your internet browser will start with People Newspapers every time

3 - You can save items from our site to your computer and read the stories ‘offline’ later. Do this by opening the newspaper of your choice, going to ‘File’, then ‘Save As’, and give the file a name. Read them later offline, or print them off if you have a printer.

4 - If you see a picture you like, and if you are using Windows 95, you can set that picture as the ‘wallpaper’ on your computer screen. Just right-click your mouse on it and then click on that option.
