SYMPATHY

Sympathy is also extended to the family of the late Elizabeth Nolan (neé Flood) RIP., Tara Hill, Gorey and formerly of Rockspring who died on Monday, July 25.

Her remains were removed to St Michael’s Church Gorey on Tuesday evening at 6.15 p.m. and burial in St Michael’s Cemetery followed Requiem Mass on Wednesday at 2 p.m.

She is survived by her son John, her daughter, Margaret Phayres, her grandson Billy, her son-in-law, nieces, nephews relatives and friends.

She never forgot her roots in Boolavogue and Pádraig Sinnott, on the uileann pipes, played the lament, ‘Anach Cuan’ at Communion time and ‘Boolavougu­e’ at the end of the Requiem Mass.

CARDIAC SCREENING

Monageer-Boolavogue GAA Club is hosting a cardiac screening day this Saturday, August 6, from 9.30 a.m. till 5 p.m. Screening can help prevent SADS – Sudden Adult Death Syndrome which kills two young people in Ireland each week.
