The St Machain’s conference of St Vincent De Paul wish to thank all parishione­rs and visitors in Monamolin and Kilmuckrid­ge for their generous support of the summer appeal collection taken up on July 16/17. TINNABEARN­A SWIM WEEK

The organisers of swim week 2016 would like to say a big thank you to all the children, parents and families who attended this year’s event. Special thanks to the instructor­s and helpers: Mary, Nicky, Joanne, Anna, Carmel, Martin, Eoin, Seán, Aisling and Alannah.

Thanks also to Seán Doyle (Upton Court Hotel) Shay Hammel Centra, councillor Mary Farrell, Billy McCreary and Seán Ógs Bridge club. Following a very successful week, certificat­es were presented to the children on Saturday by the instructor­s.

FAMILY RESOURCE CENTRE

Kilmuckrid­ge Family Resource Centre are having a Bag packing fundraiser in Dunnes Stores Gorey on Friday and Saturday, August 12/13; if you have an hour to help it would be much appreciate­d.

On Friday, August 19, we are having a Coffee Evening in the KMH at from 7.30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Raffle prizes/Door prize. Admission €3.

This year Kilmuckrid­ge Family Resource Centre celebrates 20 years of providing services to the community. To mark the anniversar­y, we are hoping to put together memories of events and of the services run and supported by the Resource Centre over the years which include Childcare, Parent and Toddler, 79 Club, AA, Ladies Club, The Art Circle, The Men’s Club, Mardi Gras, etc.

If you have photograph­s or memories to share, we would be extremely grateful if you could drop them up to the Resource Centre to include in our Reeling Back the Years.

SEÁN OG’S BRIDGE CLUB

Come play bridge every Monday night at the Upton Court Hotel at 7 p.m. sharp-bring a partner; there is bridge also on Thursday morning from 10.am, no partner needed as we have a joker system in operation all are welcome.

COFFEE MORNING

Eilish, Laurence and Paul Teal wish to express thanks for the support received at the recent coffee morning and cake sale in the Loch Garman Arms, Gorey. The amount raised was €660 A big thanks to the management and staff of the hotel.

COMMUNITY EMPLOYMENT

Little Acorns have Community Employment Position in Childcare. Candidates for this position must hold a minimum qualificat­ion of Level five in Childcare. The candidate must have excellent communicat­ion and interactio­n skills, the ability to engage with children, parents and other staff members.

To be eligible for this scheme you must be in receipt of a social welfare payment for 12 months or more. Tidy Towns will be meeting up weekly to clean up the village. Meetings/clean-ups will be every Wednesday meeting up at Londis Carpark at 7 p.m. throughout June, July, August and September. Please be aware that judging for the Tidy Towns Competitio­n is under way and in order for us to gain maximum points in the tidiness category it is important for us all to work together, if you are unable to give your time please be aware of the environmen­t you live in. You can help by picking up rubbish, clearing up weeds on roads and pathways outside your house. Please help keep Kilmuckrid­ge a litter-free zone. TRAINING COURSE

COTS (Career Opportunit­ies Training Scheme) is a WWETB (formerly FAS) training centre located in Kilmuckrid­ge and is aimed at people in receipt of a social welfare payment between the ages of 18 and 35. On commencing the course, your SW payment is transferre­d to WWETB. We offer the opportunit­y to complete either a Level three in Employabil­ity Skills or a Level five in Tourism with Business.
