Strong visitor numbers see Wells House on Bord Fáilte list
WELLS House and Gardens, Ballyedmond, recently featured on Bord Fáilte’s list of the top most visited tourist attractions in Ireland for 2015.
Wells House and Gardens featured in the list of top fee-charging attractions in Ireland, and was the only destination in Wexford to do so.
The attraction officially opened to the public in July 2012 and in the time since, it has achieved tremendous success and welcomed 122,000 visitors in 2015.
‘ The ongoing support from our customers who return year after year and weekend after weekend is so appreciated,’ said owner Sabine Rosler. ‘Our focus and aim was to deliver a great value, quality tourist destination for Wexford and to see Wells feature on this list is so rewarding. We cannot thank our customers enough.’
Each year Wells House and Gardens aims to attract new and repeat visitors by offering new concepts and events throughout the year. This year is the first of its two-day festivals with Corner Boy headlining, and supported by a range of family fun entertainment acts throughout the grounds of the estate. All are available for the €8 entry fee on Saturday and Sunday, August 13 and 14.
Wells House and Gardens also features on Ireland’s Ancient East routes and recently was filmed for a New York television station to promote this new initiative for the east of the country by Bord Fáilte and Discover Ireland.
