BARN DANCE AND BARBECUE

The annual summer barn dance and barbecue in aid of Friend’s of It’s Good To Talk at Murphy’s Barn on the Newline Road will return again this year and as always, it is expected to be a big event. The event will kick off at 7.30 p.m., with live music from band One Vision. Tickets cost €10 and the cost includes food from the barbecue. They are available from the It’s Good To Talk Office, Wexford Arts Centre and Westgate Design. There is free transport on a regular basis from Redmond Square from 7.30pm. Return trips from Murphy’s Barn to Redmond Square commence from 10.30pm.

RATHANGAN FUN DAY

On Saturday, August 13, there will be a Farmers Market and Family Fun Day at Rathangan Hall starting at midday.

There will be all the usual fun activities for kids to do on the day, including bouncy castles, archery, electric zoo, fun and games, face-painting, hair-braiding and much more for the family to enjoy.

The farmers’ market will be held at the Hall while the fun day will take place on the GAA grounds. If anyone is interested in taking a stall at the market, please contact Rathangan Hall at 051 563039 or email rathanganh­all@gmail.com.

AFTERNOON TEA

Harold and Rose Clare are hosting an afternoon tea event on Saturday, August 13, from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. in aid of the National Rehabilita­tion Hospital, Dun Laoghaire, at their home in Davidstown. There will be a floral demonstrat­ion and raffle on the day.

LUAN PARLE & CLIVE BARNES

Meteor Award winner Luan Parle Join perform at the Presentati­on Centre, Enniscorth­y, at 8.30 p.m. The Wicklow singer-songwriter will be accompanie­d by Wexford-born guitarist Clive Barnes for a night of great music and chemistry, combining a glossy blend of contempora­ry and alternativ­e country with a sprinkling of rock and pop. Luan, who is best known for her top 10 hit single ‘Ghost,’ will play an intimate acoustic set which will include songs from her catalogue as well as material from her upcoming EP release. Songs will also include her iTunes no 1 selling singles ‘Day Is Done’ & ‘Roll The Dice’.

BALLYMONEY INDOOR MARKET

Indoor market will be held at The Orphan Girl, Ballymoney, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. A selection of stalls will be available offering crafts and vintage wares, books, toys, home baking, wood turning, bric a brac, and more. To take a stall, contact 086 3664145.
