Cosy eases to win

Huge crowd at G.A.A. benefit night

THERE WAS a huge crowd in attendance at Enniscorth­y Dog Track on Thursday for the Co. Wexford G.A.A. Supporters’ Club gala fundraisin­g night.

Some massive tote pay-outs were noted with one trio over €400 and a forecast paying over €180 for just a €1 stake.

The Oceanfeed+ A4 semi-finals featured on track and the €2,200 to the winner final this Thursday night will be a very competitiv­e affair judging by these races.

Firstly Cosy Scolari put herself in a good position, tracking leader Town Belle down the back straight before staying on the better on the run to the line to score in 29.33.

The second semi saw trap one runner Duffry Gate Pat lead and run on well to beat Bubba Jet who did well from trap six to grab the runner-up spot. The time was 29.40.

This Thursday is the annual Pettitt’s night and patrons are advised to travel early as another huge crowd is expected. There will be music, food ,face painting and goodie bags for the children. It’s a real family night out and several finals will feature on track with some cracking good racing for all to enjoy.
